The .wav Specialty Programming and Schedule

The .wav has been proudly broadcasting worldwide over the Internet since July 1, 2008. We broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in crisp 128 kbps streaming audio. You can stream directly from the wavjazz.net website with a number of media players by clicking on the appropriate link on the main page. We are also listed on iTunes radio directory under "Jazz" and alphabetically under "The .wav" You can also tune in via the Loudcity portal by clicking the "Listen Live Now" link, which will take you directly to my LoudCity station page where you can talk about and share what you like about the station with fellow listeners!

While we do everything in our power to keep our high-quality stream up and running without interruption, there are instances (both within and outside of our control) that preclude this, to include critical maintenance, power outages, and software failure. Rest assured that being on the air as much as we possibly can is our top priority. If you have not already done so, I urge you to get on our mailing list for important e-mail updates about scheduled and unscheduled outages, programming changes, and quarterly newsletters.

In addition to our regular programming, The .wav is pleased to offer specialty programming throughout the week to add diversity to the station. On Friday afternoons beginning at 5:00PM Eastern, join James Lewis, better known as "JL," for the "UK Soul Chart." JL is full of energy and LOVES his soul, so you are sure to enjoy his program. On Saturday evenings from 6:00PM-9:00PM Eastern time, it Ted Hasiuk's "Cafe Jazz" and "Cafe Jazz After Hours." Ted's knowledge of contemporary jazz music is only exceeded by his passion and creativity as a programmer. Then, immediately following Ted at 9:00PM Eastern every Saturday evening it's Angelica's "Chilled Excursions," with 3 nonstop hours of some of the best Chill and downtempo grooves the planet has to offer. Formerly of Groovera, "The .wav" is excited to be the exclusive Internet carrier for Angelica's wonderful program. For our overseas listeners, Angelica returns at 5:00AM Eastern on Sunday for an encore broadcast of "Chilled Excursions." Immediately following the encore presentation of "Chilled Excursions," Bill Harman welcomes you into the "Harmonic Lounge." Bill's unique, 3-hour eclectic blend of music is the perfect complement to your Sunday morning coffee. Following the "Harmonic Lounge" at 11:00AM-1:00PM Eastern, "The Sunday Breeze" offers the best mix of classic New Age and Ambient tunes for your listening pleasure. Then, immediately following "The Sunday Breeze" at 1:00PM Eastern, join Chris Nochowicz for "The Future of Jazz With Chris," a unique blend of Contemporary, Acid, Chill/Electronica Jazz for two of the hippest hours on radio. Then on Sunday night from 6:00PM-8:00PM Eastern time, "The .wav" is pleased to offer Mark Stanley's "SoundTraxx" program. Mark's soothing, warm delivery and unique mix of tunes are the perfect way to wind down your weekend. Then wind down your weekend from 8:00PM to Midnight Sunday with "The .wav After Hours," featuring a blend of down-tempo Chill, New Age, and Contemporary Jazz music. Our weekend programming offers tons of diversity and hours of listening enjoyment. And to get your workweek started on the right foot and take the edge off of the Monday morning blues, join us at 8:00AM Eastern for The Blake Aaron Radio Show. Every week, Blake and former KTWV radio personality Tina Anderson welcome into the studio one of the hottest artists on the contemporary jazz scene for some fun, interesting, and enlightening conversation, as well as some great music.
