While we broadcast worldwide, "The .wav" takes great pride in our geographical roots in the mid-Atlantic region. If you are a contemporary jazz fan and live in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, The District of Columbia, or Delaware, you know our region is or was at one time home to incredible talent that has a made significant contributions to this genre throughout the years, to include artists such as Gregg Karukas, Euge Groove, Slim Man, Kim Waters, Ken Navarro, Gerald Veasley, Pieces of a Dream, Art Sherrod Jr., Jaared, Norman Evans, Marcus Johnson, and Drew Davidsen, just to name a few. Given the strong "local" connection this genre has to the mid-Atlantic region, it is vitally important for us to stay in touch with and support local artists, promoters, venues/festivals, and the business community at large in the mid-Atlantic region, to include the Delmarva Peninsula and Tidewater Virginia, and the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan areas. One of the complaints of Internet radio is seemingly its inability to build strong "local" ties and connections with local listeners. We are sensitive to these concerns, and pledge our commitment to being particularly attentive and responsive to the needs of our fellow residents/listeners, artists, non-profit organizations, and businesses in the mid-Atlantic region.
"The .wav" is listener-supported. In order to continue to provide the kind of quality programming you are accustomed to hearing, we sincerely appreciate voluntary donations. Please click on the secure PayPal link below. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR KINDNESS!!!!
